Creamy Smoked Salmon Bagel
Cooking does not have to be difficult. But what is difficult is writing down all the steps to a recipe when I’m to used to seasoning to taste and eyeballing measurements. Now, you don’t have to be a Michelin star chef to make this sandwich, but you’ll feel like one after making it.
Ingredients
- 8 oz cream cheese
- 1/2 lemon
- Dill
- 2 green onions
- Red Onion
- Salt
- Pepper
- Smoked Salmon
- 1 Bagel
If you’re used to having capers, go ahead and add them. My grocery store was completely out and that’s why they are omitted from the list of ingredients
Instructions
In a medium sized bowl, add your cream cheese and the juice from half a lemon. If you’d like it less tart, use less juice. I cut the cream cheese into squares and left it sitting out for about 15-20 minutes. Trust me, it’ll help with the mixing. Then, I used a fork to thoroughly mix the juice into the cream, sliced the green onions and added them into the bowl. Salt and Pepper to taste.
I sliced the red onion into half moons and peeled off a few sprigs of dill. Oh, if you’re a novice when it comes to properly slicing an onion, I’ve added a link below to help.
Bagel Assembly
I lightly toasted my bagel because I love a good crunch. Spread a generous amount of the cream cheese mixture on both halves of the bagel. Add as much smoked salmon as you like, followed by red onions and dill to taste. I also added some baked potato chips as a side.
And that’s it!
