A Shoot on Route 66

Toward the end of 2020 and to cap off the end of the year, I did manage to squeeze in one last shoot with my friend Emily. She hit me up one day, wanting to do a fun and colorful shoot. She mentioned she had been doing a lot of boudoir shoots and wanted to do something different. And knowing her, she would wear something with a splash of color.

And she definitely did.

The only appropriate place for such an outfit would naturally be 6th Street in Amarillo, TX, the old Route 66. It has such an array of colorful buildings, colorful walls, antique shops, game stores, and coffee shops in historic buildings.

Since we started shooting late in the day, we took advantage of couple of locations outside; a rainbow colored container and an old school truck before shooting inside a game store stocked with toys and vinyl records. Emily and I had discussed giving the photos a vintage look yet keeping the colors bright since she does have a beautifully colored tattoo sleeve.
